Profile

Prof. Zheng’s research interests include surface and polymer science, nanofabrication, flexible and wearable electronics, energy conversion and storage. He received his B. Eng. in Chemical Engineering at Tsinghua University in 2003, PhD in Chemistry at University of Cambridge in 2007, and postdoctoral training at Northwestern University in 2008-2009. He joined PolyU as Assistant Professor in 2009, and was promoted to tenured Associate Professor in 2013, Professor in 2017, and Chair Professor in 2023. He has published more than 240 papers in journals such as Science, Nature, Nature Materials, Nature Electronics, Nature Communications, Science Advances, and Advanced Materials, and has filed more than 50 patents.
